Standards Dictionary

The Oniqua Standards Dictionary (OSD) is a material and catalog standards database available on a website subscription basis. This taxonomy owes its heritage to the Auslang standards – a widely acclaimed implementation of NATO cataloging principles which has been refined over more than twenty years to meet the needs of asset-intensive industries.

Oniqua acquired the Auslang business in 2004.

The taxonomy database, through Keyword searching and the support of images, provides item names for thousands of materials together with associated attribute sets (descriptive templates). Using this resource, materials cataloguers ensure that material master descriptions are consistently created to rigorous and consistent standards.
